Bill began his career at AT&T and was an Assistant Vice President at Hughes Network Systems.
“FiberZone’s innovative product offering is fundamentally transforming the way fiber-optic connectivity is managed in datacenters and networks,” said Simmelink. “I am excited to be part of this transformation and high-growth market opportunity for FiberZone”.
“We welcome Bill’s experience in building effective customer-focused organizations to FiberZone,” said Dr. Hemant Kanakia, Chairman of FiberZone’s Board of Directors. “Bill’s leadership will guarantee that FiberZone is best equipped to address the demand we see in the market for our revolutionary offering” he added.
FiberZone’s AFM has been deployed in major data centers in the U.S. and around the world, automating the last manually-operated element in today’s networks – physical fiber connectivity. It allows remote and instant provisioning of new customers reducing operational expenses, eliminates cost of downtime, reduces security risks and human errors due to hands in the plant, and facilitates new service offerings by operators, enabling the transition to mission-critical cloud services.
