FiberZone Networks AFM-360 Certified as Carrier-Class, Receives NEBS Certification from MET Laborato
Bethesda, MD and Baltimore, MD, USA June 29, 2009 – FiberZone Networks Inc. announces the completion of Telcordia’s NEBS™ Level 3, the most demanding NEBS certification, with MET Laboratories. FiberZone also concluded ETSI, VCCI, UL, FCC, CE, and other certifications, completing all key international testing on its AFM-360 system. These certifications validate the carrier-class reliability, safety, and environmental suitability of FiberZone’s Automated Fiber Management (AFM), the first product to deliver remote control and automation to the fiber infrastructure while maintaining the attributes and reliability of a manual patch panel.

The completion of NEBS, in addition to other certifications such as ETSI, VCCI, ETS, EN, IEC, FCC, UL, and CE concludes a comprehensive program of internal and external tests in a variety of network environments. Passing NEBS Level 3, its most demanding criteria, enables FiberZone AFM to be deployed in some of the most challenging environments, such as Zone 4 earthquake areas. These certifications also confirm AFM’s electromagnetic compatibility with EMC/EMI, thermal robustness, fire resistance, compatibility with high voltage, and airborne contaminants.
